I made these fun little purple slippers just before Christmas. I was so excited and they match my jams! I found the pattern on Ravelry by Zoom Yummy (thank-you very much for helping me learn). I tweaked it a bit to suit my yarn and my foot. Sadly, after wearing them for awhile they became very loosey-goosey. But my cat likes to play with them.

So I am on a mission to make a new pair of snug-as-a-bug slippers. I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick and a 9mm hook. Oh these are going to work up super fast. Here is a "very loose" demo of what I did (more for me, should I like to do it again).
Started with a magic circle and 6 sc into the circle.
Round 1: 2 sc in each sc (12 stitches).
Round 2-15: Then I just did sc in a spiral (I added 1 or 2 extra stitches for a bit more width). I spiraled for 14 rows.

Now you work the heel end of the slipper. Turn your work, ch1, 11 sc. Repeat back and forth for 7 rows or whatever fits your foot snug as a bug.
Slip stitch the heel seam. Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Here's what we have so far. Mmm, snuggly.
Attach your yarn at the back ankle and sc three rounds to make the ankle edge a little taller.
I added a little purple slip stitch trim to match my jams.
